Everything Lady Serena Parker thought she knew about her own life has just proved a lie. Now, only one man can lead her to the truth… But at what price?

When shocking family secrets emerge, they turn Lady Serena Parker’s world upside-down, sending the bold, raven-haired beauty on a quest to find answers. Ironically, her search soon points her right across the street, to the home of her most mysterious neighbor in Moonlight Square — the elusive and solitary Azrael, Duke of Rivenwood.

The rich, enigmatic nobleman alone may possess the knowledge she craves, but Serena knows she must approach with caution. For, shadowed by rumors of a dark and tragic past, Azrael is heir to family secrets even more dangerous than her own. Once she captivates the duke’s smoldering passion, however, gaining his help may cost Serena more than she ever dreamed…

I love Gaelen Foley's books and enjoyed this one. I did not give it a five star rating as it is not as good as some of her previous work. All credit to her as an author that she never repeats a storyline, despite telling stories which feature some of her most beloved characters but they are never boring. Please read this author's back catalogue - you will love her books. Only one glaring error - we do not use the term candy apples in the UK and I doubt they would have been called that during the Regency period - lol.

This is better than the first two in the moonlight square series but does not come up to the standard of theInferno club series . There are still far too many Americanisms in the book and even allowing for "poetic license " deter from the writing and story . And no I didn't receive a free copy of the book !!!

Having waited for serena and azrael story, it didn't disappoint. The story sometimes does seem to lose your interest but I kept reading and enjoyed the ending, I loved the way gaelen got you to see the food, clothing and the views that Serena sees.Sometimes I wish she had gone more in depth with how Azrael dealt with the outsides issues but otherwise I liked how these two people dealt with everything thrown at them and I enjoyed how you can lose yourself in the story, I looked forward to more. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for a honest review.
