I have just finished this fourth book in C. L. Wilson's Tairen Soul series and certainly was not disappointed. I can understand that it has been difficult for the author to complete Rain and Ellysetta's story in the four books originally promised, however this is all the better for the reader as we get to read an extension of this beautiful tale. There have been many questions left unanswered in this tale (as a previous reviewer detailed), however my main question is when can we expect Book 5?I read books 1 to 4 in a week and I cannot wait for the final book, so, pleasssssse Ms Wilson, Hurry Up.I have given this book 4 stars as I really enjoyed it but would have to give books one and two 5 stars, with 4.5 stars for book 3. The love story is compelling and the world building is superb. The politcal problems between the Fey and the mortals is well written and I love the characters. The play off between good and evil is great, it was a bit gruesome at times but mostly this story is full of hope....if you look deep enough.Would definately highly recommend.

Book 4 of this fantastic series is the weakest so far but really that is not much of a complaint. This book was still brilliant but i felt it was setting up for the conclusion of the series in book 5.In this installment Rain and Ellie are trying to build an army for the coming battles, meeting with the Elves and Celerians in a bid to gain allies to defeat the Eld.This book was good but i felt it dragged a little. Many more questions were raised than answers given - frustrating in terms of this book but i imagine it will make one hell of a conclusion. Also one of the many ongoing subplots ends tragically in this book - it had me in tears. Its been a while since a book made me cry.I have high hopes for the conclusion of this series - don't let me down wilson!

The Fourth Chapter in C. L. Wilson’s Breathtaking Epic Tale of Magic, Passion, and Destiny"Two lovers, two hearts, one soul.Only joined can they be truly complete.Only joined can they survive the darkness."Wow! Once again a fantastic story but this time it made me cry. We've managed to get through a build up to war with not a lot of death but we do have them in this book and I confess I cannot read it even now without tears pouring out of me. I won't say who or how but suffice it to say, it's not Rain or Elly! This book actually gives you a bit more information on the war than King of Sword and Sky does, fills it out a bit. But as much as it gives you more detail it will leave you with so many questions. I had finished this book before the 5th one was released so it nearly killed me having to wait! So instead of pining, I just went back and re-read the whole series again. Each time I read it, I fall in love with it some more. High praise to C L Wilson. "Sometimes, all you can do is acknowledge your fear, then act in spite of it."

As with all the C L Wilson books I've read, this book, and the whole series, is well written. She has crafted a complex and believable world and characters that are not just fantasy, but human in their characters and development through the trials they face. Wilson manages to draw that fine line between love and aggression, light and dark, without making the world or characters she creates unbelievable or stereotypical of romantic fantasy.

This is the 4th book in a set of 5 telling the tale of Elysetta and Rain. I found the world CL Wilson has created is both credible and interesting. Her style of writing had me close to tears when painful things happen to various characters, as the reader empathises with them so well, so creatively is the tale woven. You know in the end good must prevail, but it is a long and painful journey which this book takes you on. Well worth the read
