Hi, I’m Alexis Delaney. I’m your average 17-year-old girl. Except I can see the dead. And talk to the dead. And push them away and, well, help them move on. So..okay, I’m not your average 17-year-old girl. For years I’ve been struggling to survive the souls still roaming around. The shitheads always seem to find me. Moving from town to town every few months never helped either. More dead just always find me. But things are changing for me now. I’m moving in with my uncle Rory and cousin Tara. I’m finally going to be able to do normal teenage stuff I’ve been missing out on. Right?Well, if this one bitch of a ghost could leave me alone on campus that would be great. Especially since I haven’t told my new friends about my abilities. Can you believe this? Five good looking guys practically adopt me on my first day of school, and I still think they’re a bit nuts for it. Now if I can only just keep my life with the dead from mixing with my normal life, everything would be great. Yeah...I don’t see that happening either. But I’m going to give it a shot. Who knows? It might work.

I've been in a book slump for a year now. Every time I picked up a book I just couldn't get into the story. Then I came across this book and I couldn't stop reading. I fell in love with the characters, lexie is an amazing heroine she's got such a big heart but not afraid to kick someone's arse (or ass if your American) The boys are adorable I love the friendship between them all. I am hoping for a romantic relationship between zeke and lexie. I was so absorbed into their world. I woke up with a book hangover and didn't even care, so worth it. I downloaded this on kindle because I would of had to wait days for the book to be delivered. Now I've read it and book two, am gonna order the paperback as well. Definitely recommend reading the veil diaries series. B.L.Brunnemer is now one of my favorite authors.

This is one hell of a book, the story just keeps building & building. The characters are wonderful & believable. A bunch of high school guys that befriend a girl. A girl with a tragic past. These guys protect her & her them. Their friendship is a friendship of unimaginable strength. God I can't wait to start the 2nd book like in 10 mins.

I found this first book brilliant , the author wrote it so we had no choice but to get deep in the story . It's a good RH in which one girl finds a fantastic friendship with a great group of boys who help her live her life with the dead . I can't wait for book two

I honestly don't believe that this book has kept me riveted for four hours straight. It is so good that amazon should have a higher scale of rating. Yeah it needed a better editor but WOW I loved it, lexie and her friends is a new take on the necromancer genre. The characters were fantastic, I absolutely loved this book

This book Is now definitely one of my top ten favourites. The protagonist, Alexis, just moved to her Uncle Rory's due to her mother's aggression. On the first day of school she immediately becomes friends with five boys (Isaac, Ethan, Zeke, Miles and Asher). But she is keeping a secret from them... she can see the dead. This book honestly had me laughing the entire way through. I didn't want it to end! Unfortunately I finished it in one day because I couldn't get enough of the relationship Alexis had with the boys. The characters were all full of personality and depth. Also the storyline was engaging and I wasn't bored for even a second. I loved how protective the boys were of her and gave her individual nicknames. A lot of books I have read require the men to constantly save the wimpy and irritating female lead. This was quite the opposite as Alexis could easily take care of herself and come up with witty comebacks. The one thing I am really anticipating is if a romance develops with one of the boys. Hopefully Zeke ... but we will see.Overall, this book is incredible and I advice you to READ IT!! Can't wait till the next one is out. I believe on the authors Facebook page the release date for the next is around early February 2017.

It was a unique storyline, funny and just brilliant how "red" adapted and for right in with the boys and there is nothing better then a girl that has bigger b***s then most men,and isn't afraid to show it 5*** for uniqueness

Really loved this story. Downloaded the 2nd book straight away. It's quite a bit of a rollercoaster ride but I thoroughly enjoyed it.
